What is Farang? When we travel, we can feel like foreigners, curious and open to new experiences that bring us closer to new friends. “Farang” translates to “Foreigner” in several languages. We hope you share this wine with those you want to grow closer to.
This is our debut vintage, and we are grateful for the collective effort that made it possible. Omar Valdez, Vineyard Manager, ensures that our certified organic vineyard produces high-quality grapes. His 25+ years of experience with the vineyard gives us the knowledge we need to adapt to weather variability and embrace our terroir’s uniqueness. Roberto Alfaro, Winemaker, whose winemaking style focuses on the expression of the terroir and season with nothing but the highest quality outcome in mind. Our friends and neighbors who are always there to give a helping hand, advice, and support.
The 2022 vintage showcases remarkable depth and complexity, a testament to its careful crafting. On the nose, it opens with evocative aromas of black plum, tobacco, and a hint of morning forest, conjuring the earthy, damp freshness of early woods. The palate is equally captivating, with a long, developing finish that evolves gracefully, revealing layers of silky tannins and subtle notes of pencil lead that lend an intriguing minerality. This wine possesses a balance of richness and refinement, leaving an elegant, lingering finish that promises excellent aging potential.
